What we mean when we say slow food

Don’t misunderstand, we’re not granola loving, sandal wearing health food nuts. We’re slow foodies- all about eating succulent meats, delicious cheeses, decadent mashed potatoes, handmade pastas with creamy or spicy sauces, and deserts so rich they’ll make your feet dance under the table. Slow food doesn’t refer to how long you have to wait for dinner- it means that we don’t take shortcuts when we make it. We don’t use prepackaged sauces, we don’t use preseasoned or flavored anything. Those foods contain preservatives, artificial flavors and are more expensive than real food made from real ingredients. It also means we can control our costs and make amazing foods without using expensive items. Some of the best tasting foods are braised, smoked or slow roasted using less expensive ingredients.

We’re versatile. Whatever you want or wherever you want it, we can do it. We’re not limited by cuisines or location.  Because of the nature of our approach to food we can almost always accommodate your needs or preferences. Allergies, quirks, or unusual requests don’t shake us, there’s nothing in our foods we didn’t put there. We understand unusual allergies and we’ll not only leave out an offending ingredient, we’ll work to find an acceptable substitute so no one else will know it’s missing.  If you don’t want it, it’s not there. We take pride in being resourceful  and adaptable when making menus and recipes. Because our base of operations is our portable kitchen, we can go where you want to be, and make foods that are hot and fresh when we serve them. If you can get there, we can get there. We’re happy to go to unusual lengths and places.
